Flowers after rain

Silba flowers in a puddle

One of the most beautiful moments on that day was coming out of the house after rain. It was early autumn by the seaside; the smell of rain and soil, blended with salt and light breeze, made that calm afternoon worth remembering.

Trying to escape the puddles, I almost stepped on the flower fallen during the rain. Once fragrant, in all its richness, it was now just another faded flower lying on the ground.

That is the circle of life and that often makes us sad. It gives us a clear sense of time. Of transience.

But, can we feel something else than sadness? I remember well, these flowers made every single time when I passed by them more beautiful. They filled the air with sweet memories. They made the sunsets even more vibrant. They fulfilled their tasks in a perfect way.

No matter who you are, or what you do, be a flower. Show how vibrant your colours can be, fill your beloved ones’ moments with the most beautiful fragrance.  You have a whole life to fulfil. Will you dream through it, or act through it? Will you be the flower that filled the world with colours? How will you do it? Earth is not entirely wild, but it is not only human either. Earth is full of richness, full of sunsets and dawns, of colours and stary nights, winds and waves, clear crisp air, scents and flavours, all sorts of living miracles, all the things we wish to be eternal. Let yourself feel its beauty and richness, and guard it. If you teach yourself how to care about it, do not stop there, teach someone else. Help our planet to be as beautiful, and rich, and full of endless secrets for our next generations as it has been until now.
